The Top Grossing Film of all time is....

Not Titanic. And not Avatar.

According to the boxofficemojo.com, Avatar is not even in the Top 20 Grossing Films! Surprised?

Well, there's inflation, and the increasing ticket prices, and other mumbo-jumbo computations. So I think it's fair to say that a ticket price in the year 2010 may be equivalent to a ticket or two in the 1980's? Oh, and then there's Imax, the 3D theaters, Star Wars would've been such a viewing experience then.

So here's the top Five Movies (adjusted for ticket price inflation):

  3. That was interesting. Tama nga naman, inflation should be considered. Or dapat siguro mag-base nalang sa number of tickets sold?

  4. yes, i think sales figures must be based on the number of tickets sold, in that way, i think the ranking would be fair and square, right?
