Product Review: Ozeri BP monitor

I got the opportunity to receive and try on a blood pressure monitor. As a nurse, I have been using and dealing with blood pressure machines for more than 12 years now. (I counted my university years+hospital work, so I am not THAT old!) Having a good understanding of different BP machines, this product from Ozeri intrigued me a lot, for a lot of good reasons.

For starters, this is the smallest and the most portable BP monitor I have encountered. I am accustomed in using BP machines with cuffs wrapped around arms, and this one takes off that awkward feature. Not everybody can measure their OWN blood pressure, and this one just does the job perfectly. This one is placed firmly on the wrist with a velcro strap. Although it would normally constrict slowly while it reads the blood pressure, it was comfortable.

It is powered by 2 AAA batteries which are included in the pack. It also comes with an instructional manual, which are easy to follow and to perform. Buttons are clearly marked and it just takes 1 push on the button to 'read' your BP and your heart rate, after a few moments, your health status somewhat lies within your wrist.

How reliable is it? It is based on WHO's Automatic Hypertension Indicator. It has (-/+ 5%) in accuracy reading. It also keeps record on its memory for your tracking and comparison.

This product is perfect not only for health-conscious individuals, but for families as well. You can take it to the gym, for holidays or keep it at home for your regular or random checking of your blood pressure. Use it when you feel like 'blowing up' after an emotional loss of your favourite sports team!

Health education is critical into leading to awareness. As they say, prevention is better than cure. That's my second favourite health-related quote to 'An apple a day, keeps the doctor away.'

I'm giving this 'smartwatch'-looking gadget 2 thumbs up for being user-friendly, portability and reliability. Oh, and budget-friendly too! It's currently on a discount on Amazon.co.uk, check it out here.

P.S. Got a normal BP despite unhealthy lifestyle, pleased about that! I might think of having this awesome product for a give-away. Hit me up on the comments section for ideas! :)
