#reigun365
I have been wanting to do a 365 Project since like forever. Taking photos everyday for a year. Seems easy at this digital age. But I ended up always beaten by the New Year's Bug. Wherein I am either too busy at work during the holidays, or just simply too buzzed up with drinks.
This 2014, will be a different year, I told myself. I have successfully completed a month's worth of daily photos for the first time. And no, they are NOT all selfies.
Why do it?
Aside from having problems with memory space on your camera or phone, it will give you a more visual look on how your year, and to make it more cheesy, or your life went by.
It will give you a different perspective on your daily activities.
It will challenge you to pull out from your artistic side, or probably just take a photo of that delicious burger in front of you before you devour it.
Before, I was quite hesitant to post on instagram frequently, since initially I was 'likes-driven' and overwhelmed by the great photos of my idols online. 'This photo is not instagram-worthy' was my line of thought. Then later on I realised, heck, it is my own point of view, and I want to do it because I wanted to. Not because it was trendy or it was dictated by a group of 'experts.' Be it with a million hashtags or not, I care not anymore. I want it to be free and flowing.
It does somehow help me in learning more about photography. (I could hear photographers mumbling 'IT is instagram! Not Photography!) Well, tell that to Batman.
It will help you be on track with your calendar! (I always check my dates more than twice, it does help!)
It will help you appreciate your life even more. Celebrate the ordinary, celebrate the happiness. It is all in the state of mind.
What limits you?
Probably only your gadget's battery and memory. If you pass that hurdle, there's pretty much nothing to stop and limit your project. Snap away. Shoot it.
These are 5 of my favourites for the month of January.
028/365 Leadership training. 'Everything that irritates us can help us better understand ourselves'-Jung I hope my digiflorals won't irritate my trainingmates. =/ |
008/365 Yesterday we've seen the film The Hobbit 2. And seeing this tree reminds me of the ghastly forests of middle-earth. No giant spiders sighted so far. |
027/365 Slinky, the town's beloved giant creature, was happy to come home from a hard day's work. He would've made his gramps Nessy proud. |
The rest of my project 365 is here. I am now excited for the rest of the year. As you can see, I can be an awesome artist painting a giant creature in the city. Great potential, right? Right? Guys?
(Probably I should've just taken a photo of my burger that day.)
If you have one or still planning to do a project 365, please share and tell me about it.
Good luck, and be awesome 365 days a year!
