Love is a strong feeling of affection for another. It is not exclusive for 'lovers' or couples only. It is not just the romantic type of love. We are surrounded by special connections and bonds to special people in our lives, with varying degrees and 'meanings'. But we do know when we are 'in love' with one another. No one can actually define or take that feeling away from you. Whether it's your partner, your family, a dear friend, your lovely dog, it would still be love.
Yesterday marked the 67th birthday of my late father. He went up to the heavens back in 1996. He's still missed and remembered by his loved ones. As a young boy at age 11, I knew and felt that I love him. I must've said 'I love you' to him, but I haven't meant its full meaning. I have not justified well enough how I truly felt for him. It was too late for him to hear or read it now.
From that day that he was gone, it gave me valuable lessons in life. Even in his passing, Daddy is still giving me lessons up to this day. He gave me reasons why I should not take things and time for granted. Here are some of the reasons I believe he taught me, on why we should profess our love and affection now.
Up to this day, my late father is still giving me lessons on life and love. He didn't need to tell me these words, or rather he didn't have the chance to do so. But I know these are some of the wisdom he wanted to part with me.
Love is a wonderful feeling, share it, express it. Don't be like my 11 year old child self that would feel regretful later on in life. It would be a whole lot better if your loved one hears it from you.
Any other reasons to add on here? Please feel free to share and spread out some love.
