Product Review: Brainwavz Bluetooth Earphones

I love wearing my earphones or headphones almost every time I leave the flat. Especially whether I'm traveling to and fro work, or for a quick trip to the grocery. I drown the outside world with songs from indie Filipino artists such as Reese Lansangan or The Putings; or the latest Bieber Zayn Malik banger hit.

Wearing my earphones is my universal social sign for 'Don't-talk-to-me' when I hop on the tubes/trains. It keeps me calm and relaxed rather than hearing loud voices from strangers on a packed tube on a rush hour. Aside from good audio quality, comfort is also key and important especially when I'm on-the-go. There goes with it the usual problem of ridiculous entangled wires, and impossible sailor-like knots after keeping them tucked away for a few seconds.

Alas, here I am giving a shot on this new Bluetooth earphone from Brainwavz. Brainwavz is a Hong Kong based multinational company that specialises quality audio products. I have received their latest BLU-200 Bluetooth 4.0 aptX Earphones for a review. I have reviewed one of their products on the past here in this previous -> blogpost.

 Overall impressions & features:

  • It comes with a hard case for safe transport.
  • I like the style and design with its matt black finish.
  • It is lightweight.
  • It comes with various silicone ear tip sizes.
  • It fully charges under 2 hours.
  • It can play continuous 4 hours time.
  • I love the noise-cancellation feature as it delivers crisp and solid audio without the further need of increasing the volume to the max.
  • Apparently it shows its battery life on an iPhone (sadly I have a Samsung phone.) I hope they get an indicator for android users soon.
  • 24 month warranty is better than most coverages.
  • Most importantly: The retail price is $54.50 (or £38+.) Not bad as compared with the ranges of quality bluetooth earphones from $60 and above.

Of course, THAT shameless side selfie with the classic fresh-from-bed-hair is NOT included.

Verdict: Great bang for the buck for audiophiles. Get ready to listen to your fave music with freedom to move around and minus the tangled hassle.
