TOK-YO!

The wife and I were dreaming of visiting Japan for quite some time. We had the chance to do so last December as we went there for our honeymoon. We were lucky to have this travel push through as it wasn't part of our itinerary (and budget!) especially since our wedding was on the 19th of December, and it is the busiest holiday week for most.

But the powers may be made it possible for us to visit Tokyo for 4 nights, and then back in Manila on the 24th, in time for the happiest Christmas celebration we had in years.

Here's some of the sights and snaps of Tokyo. Further below is a little video I took whilst on a vacation honeymoon there.

I'm a wannabe geisha.

Almost caught jaywalking.

Their ramen restaurants are vendo machine-led.
Pay and order here, and then just give your receipt to the cook, and wait for your order.

For 500 Yen, you get a decent and delicious ramen meal.

Our favourite lifesaver rice snacks for only 100 Yen+.

Oh Mickey you're so fine you blow my mind.

The princess and the wall.

Tokyo is fantastic for gastroventures.

Gundam Café? Sure.

Tons of vending machines on streets.

Applied for the Maid Cafe.

Tokyo Skytree Tower lit up as a Christmas tree. Well, a big one.

Lots of sights at the Senso-ji Temple.

I miss E. Honda of Street Fighter. (Not him ok.)

Tried their melon pan. Bread covered in crisp dough. Yum!

The attractions are a few train stops away from one another.

We were lucky to have clear skies for the temple tours.

Hachiko the film made me cry, this made me smile.

Akihabara is electronics town.

This spider in Roppongi means business.

Now that's what you call a real meal.

We were rich! In Yen.

Zojo-ji Temple will be a nice place to visit as it is nearby Tokyo Tower.

The view from way up the Tokyo Tower is fascinating.

Now here's for your love of heights.

Don't know Japanese language? You will learn some for sure.

On December 23, it was the emperor's birthday.
We signed well-wishes on the guest list as the palace is opened rarely to the public.

Odaiba's Gundam is angry so we have to keep our distance.

Apologies for the shaky, cold hands on the cam :)
